Electric Two Wheeler Sales April 2024 Sale Report: The electric two-wheeler industry faced a challenging start to the financial year 2024-25, with most manufacturers experiencing a notable downturn in sales during the first month. Surprisingly, Ola Electric, which had sold over 50,000 scooters in March, saw a sharp decline to just 33,963 scooters sold in April. Ola Electric and TVS Struggling:
April witnessed a substantial drop in electric two-wheeler sales. Ola Electric, the leading player in the segment, sold only 33,963 scooters in April, marking a 36 percent decrease compared to the previous month’s sales of 53,320 scooters. TVS Motor Company also faced challenges, with its IQube electric scooter sales plummeting by 71 percent to 7,675 units in April, down from over 26,000 units sold in March.
Bajaj-Ather Facing Difficulties:
Bajaj Auto Group’s Chetak electric scooter sales dipped by 58 percent in April, with only 7,529 units sold compared to 18,006 units in March. Ather Energy experienced a similar decline, with April sales of its electric scooters dropping by 76 percent to 4,062 units from 17,232 units in March. Additionally, Greaves Electric Mobility sold 2,511 electric two-wheelers, while Wardwizard Innovation and Mobility Limited sold 1,203 units.
Revolt Making a Comeback:
Revolt Intellicorp Private Limited reappeared in the top 10 list for April, securing the 7th position by selling 747 electric motorcycles. Shema E-Vehicle and Solar Private Limited sold 819 units, while BigBoy Auto Private Limited sold 711 electric two-wheelers, further diversifying the market.
